About Rachel

Hello and welcome to my life!

My name is Rachel and I am 25 years old. I am a wife, dog mom, sister, chocoholic, wine sipper, beach lover, friend, encourager, and coach. When I was in the 4th grade I was diagnosed with Graves’ Disease – what a struggle for a kid! For the years following it went back and forth between hypo and hyper until I finally got my thyroid removed all together in college. Growing up, I so badly wanted to just be normal, but now I realize it gave me a purpose and an experience that I can use to bless others.

After graduating from North Carolina State University I found myself about 20 pounds overweight and just generally unhappy with the way my life was going. I was just going with the flow and letting life happen instead of taking ownership and being intentional with the gifts I have been given. This all changed in February 2015 when my health and fitness journey truly began and nothing has been the same since!

I have found a passion for health and fitness that I didn’t even know was there, but it is changing my life. I am a work in progress and want to empower people along the way. Constantly evolving, constanting learning, and constantly striving to be better. I believe in taking chances and using every opportunity to grow. Thank you for taking the time to get to know me. I would love to get to know YOU as well!

If your actions inspire others to dream more, learn more, do more and become more, you are a leader. -John Quincy Adams
